Welcome - partnering with you for success. I am a licensed psychologist whose treatment orientation could be described as individualized, supportive, and cognitive-behavioral. I have been working as a psychologist in both service and educational settings; including hospitals, Medical schools, mental health centers, a group of pediatricians' office, and private practice. I have received my Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi, my M.S. in clinical psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, and my B.A. in psychology from Muhlenberg College. I have also completed my pre-doctoral internship at Tulane University Medical Center. I am affiliated with Lake Boone Counseling & Psychological Services, LLP. Lake Boone Counseling & Psychological Services, LLP is an office sharing arrangement for its members and renters.

Services Provided Psychological services are provided after an assessment of your needs and situation. The collaborative process provides information to you, options, and support as you determine what to do in emotional or challenging times.

Assessment may take the form of a consultation visit, a diagnostic interview, or more formal psychological testing. Assessment is offered to provide you the information you may need to learn about yourself, or your child; or to meet your needs.

Treatment options here may include individual sessions, family sessions, couples sessions, or consultation visits to assist you with others.

Areas in which Dr. Wiesner has training and experience:

For Children or Adolescents: School Problems, Social problems, Family Problems, Blended Family Issues, Specific psychological concerns: anxiety including phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder, depression and self esteem concerns, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabilities, anger problems and other emotional regulation concerns, non-compliance and rule-breaking behavior, substance abuse concerns, and other behavioral problems.

For Adults: Relationship Concerns, Family Problems, Social Problems, Specific psychological concerns: depression and self esteem concerns, anxiety including phobias, social anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Personality concerns.
