He has been Adjunct Faculty for the UNC School of Social Work and Field Instructor for the UNC School of Medicine Family Medicine Program. He has been on the teaching faculty of Hopeline of Wake County and for the North Carolina Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He was President of the Hypnosis Society from 1991-1993 and 1995-1997. Wayne served on the Board of Directors for The Womenıs Center of Raleigh from 1995-1996. He has supervised other clinicians, residents, and graduate students. In his practice he works with adolescents, adults, couples and families. He has led groups on various topics including assertiveness training and relaxation, and therapy groups for men, young adults, and several mixed adult groups, and given numerous talks on stress management and communication. His specialties include hypnosis, couple communication, and the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, in either brief solution focused work or longer term growth oriented work.
