"Practical Help with Personal Problems"

Steve has practiced Clinical Social Work in the Triangle since 1983. His primary goal and indeed passion is to empower individuals, couples and families to think and communicate clearly their wants, needs and expectations. Although he works on a number of managed care panels to be more accessible, he works to personalize realistic treatment goals and expected outcomes. Some people work toward change faster than others. Both brief and longer term therapy is offered with some evening and weekend hours available.

"The truth eventually comes out"

Steve believes in both his professional and personal life that honesty combined with sensitivity is the most effective approach in dealing with difficulties we encounter in life. “Doing” relationships is something most of us approach in a frustrating trial and error fashion, with very little education and support. Once we are aware this, we practice creative ways of “being” and “feeling”. With the therapist as a guide and model, we can realize change and balance we never imagined. This is not to over simplify. Yet things are always less complicated than we make them.
