Nancy Lloyd, Ph.D.lloyd.jpg (31152 bytes)
is a Licensed Psychologist. She received her Doctorate in Psychology in 1980. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at NCSU, Meredith, and Peace College. She published or co-authored papers on recovery of function after brain damage. She has taught or supervised UNC medical school students, residents, and interns, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UNC School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Lloyd currently works at Dorothea Dix Hospital and in her private practice, which she began in 1985. She sees adults and couples regarding issues of couple conflicts, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, or for psychological and neurological testing. She also has 5 years experience of geropsychology. She uses brief solution-focused techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
