Psychotherapy Resources Network of North Carolina is a web site developed by North Carolina Therapists. Therapists listed in this directory are North Carolina licensed independent practitioners, with a diverse range of experience and specialty.
With the recent proliferation of therapist web sites and therapist directories on the web it is easy to become overwhelmed with the inconsistent and confusing array of information. Our goal has always been to be a resource for North Carolinians as they try to find the services that are most appropriate for their families and needs. We have no other goal other than to make possible the best match between a client and counselor/therapist.
Our Web Site offers a consistent and unique detailed individual web page for every counselor/psychotherapist listed on our site. These pages will enable you to compare the services offered by each counselor/psychotherapist and make an informed choice about which provider will best meet your needs.
We also list each counselor/psychotherapist in up to 20 categories in our distinctive directory of over 100 service categories, issues and problems for which individuals, couples and families seek assistance. This list of problems include issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, anger, phobia, addiction, and specialized issues such as DBT, PTSD, EMDR, and impulse disorders. This directory of services has been developed by the therapists listed on our site and continues to be refined as we add new members.
The information outlined in this directory was provided by these therapists and it is each therapist's responsibility to assure that the information is accurate. Each therapist is required to provide proof of having a North Carolina license and malpractice insurance coverage. Inclusion in this network does not guarantee quality of service or identify specific therapy methods.
Therapists in this directory vary from those who contract with many managed care and insurance companies to those who contract with few. It is advisable to ask questions about how your provider's relationship with these mental health reimbursement sources affect the delivery and payment of services.
