Shelley
Fields, MA, LMFT For many years she led Adult Children of Alcoholics groups to uncover and heal the unresolved conflicts that members often found they shared. In addition, she has facilitated women's groups, drama therapy groups, and groups focusing on creativity for artists. An actress and writer of children's stories, Shelley is familiar with the creative struggle and can offer the structured support that fosters accomplishment. Once a classroom teacher herself, she is particularly sympathetic to the problems encountered by educators. Because of her years of experience with her own family, she brings an empathetic ear and an objective eye to the problems and difficult decisions involved in caring for aging parents. Using an eclectic approach to therapy that is determined by the needs of each client, Shelley focuses on uncovering conflicts which block growth, solving the dysfunctional patterns which inhibit relationships with the self and others, and initiating positive change. She views therapy as a process of getting to know oneself better in order to achieve more satisfaction, inwardly and in relation to others. She has offices in Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, North Carolina. Her office hours are Tuesday through Saturday Education: John F. Kennedy University, December 1985 Last Updated February 25, 2006 For questions or comments about this web site send email to Webmaster WEB Page designed and developed by HEMBB |
